Thorpe Cloud, June 2017
Nottinghamshire Rifle Association's muzzle loading rifle shoot was held at the delightful Thorpe Cloud rifle range, near Ashbourne, Derbyshire - 16-18 June

Friday afternoon's match was patched ball rifle at 200 yards - 10 shots offhand and 10 shots standing from a rest. Saturday was muzzle loading target rifle aggregate fired at 400, 300 & 200 yards - 10 shots each distance. Sunday was muzzle loading Enfield rifle aggregate fired at 200, 300 & 400 yards. The later match comprises 1 fouling shot, 1 sighter and 5 match shots at 200 yards, then 1 sighter and 5 match shots at 300 & 400 yards - shooting is prone and unsupported (no sling or rest) and fired on 19thC square targets.  A few images from the day below.
