Hello
#1
Hi, I am not a member at present ,I was for many years until illness stopped me. I shot at Wedgenock and Bisley. I have decided to get back into some muzzleloading . I am interested in the 50 metre  smooth military musket shooting . Is it a requirement to have these on fac , or can one have and shoot them on a shotgun cert? thanks.

If it has a smooth bored barrel more than 24 inches long and of course can hold only three or less cartridges (not relevant in this case) it is a shot gun and can be held on a SGC.
You can use it with shot anywhere you have had permission but you can load it with ball at a shooting range. You only have one loaded ball round at any one time when you load the gun.
But other  more learned colleagues will be around here shortly !
